We are able to help with packing, unpacking, resettling, and managing every aspect of the move. We also assist with liquidating items you no longer want or need. You can relax knowing that we now have a plan, giving you peace of mind that we will handle details, so you don't have to.
ORGANIZE
We all accumulate a lot of "stuff" throughout the years, and sorting through these items can be a daunting task, but one that is essential for creating a more organized and manageable living space. Beyond the Fork in the Road helps you let things go; focus on items that you need, as well as those familiar items that will make your new space feel at home. We will organize and schedule your packing and moving days to run smoothly and be stress-free.
RIGHT-SIZE
Often referred to as downsizing, we choose to take a more positive approach to helping clients make those difficult decisions about what to keep, sell. or donate. Items that appear trivial to some, may be if value to its owner for sentimental reasons. In our 15 years of helping seniors relocated, we have become very skilled at guiding this often overwhelming process for you. Our goal is also to plan for a safe, comfortable living space; measuring and use of our interactive floor plan will assure that you have room to safely maneuver in your new right-sized space.
RELOCATE
Beyond the Fork in the Road will contract with one of our trusted moving providers all with an excellent reputation for loading and unloading your valuable items and based on geographic area. At the end of the day, all settled into their new home, our clients usually comment on how quickly and effortlessly our team accomplished what appeared to them as a monumental task.
Our Packing Process
We have our packing process down to a science and utilize sturdy bins to pack our clients' homes. Our reusable bins are color-coordinated so that movers can quickly position them in the proper space. Other advantages of our high-quality bins include:
- Reduce cardboard and tape waste
- Sterilized between moves and clients
- Won’t crush under the weight of other bins or boxes
- Offer safe protection for fragile valuables when combined with bubble wrap and packing paper
Plus, we use wardrobe boxes so we can hang your clothing directly from your closet. Mirrors and pictures framed in glass are padded and placed in specialty boxes.
Our Unpacking Process
Like the packing process, our unpacking process for senior living transitions is equally seamless. Furniture, clothing, and other items will be moved and carefully unpacked so that your new home is in move-in condition. This is one of our most appreciated services as we place utensils in drawers, dishes on shelves, hang clothing in the closets, and even make your bed. All you do is come home and relax.
Built-in Consignment Shop
Before we get to liquidating any items, our staff is here to help you sort through belongings according to what to keep, donate, or sell.
We at Beyond the Fork in the Road will also discuss options for the disposition of your property, which will maximize asset value while simultaneously minimizing expenses. You choose which options work best for you. Options managed directly by us include:
