Did you know that charities have to pay to haul away trash from their donors? That's what happens when people donate trash!

The picture above isn't pretty and it's sad to think that charities are spending money, which could be used to help others, on trash removal. So how do you know if what you want to donate is considered usable or trash?

Here are some questions to ask before you donate...

Is what you are donating in need of repair?

Is it missing parts?

Is it ripped or torn?

Is it stained?

Has it stopped working properly?

Would you be ashamed to look the person in the eye who received the item you donated?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please do the right thing and trash your item at home. Don't pass it on to a charity and force them to throw it out along with their money.

Remember, you want to feel good about what you give away!
